Kombucha

Why doesn’t your Kombucha need refrigeration?

We negate the need for refrigeration by reducing the yeast with our unique filtration process preventing further fermentation. The good gut bacteria enjoys the warmer temperatures & remains active & alive suspension [“the floaty bits”]  until the bottle is opened. Our Kombucha can remain unrefrigerated until opened – although we recommend enjoying our Kombucha chilled! laughing

Is Your Kombucha Pasteurised?

In short, no.  Our Kombucha is not pasteurised at all.  Our Kombucha contains living probiotics and is essentially a live product.

How much should I drink per day?

A bottle a day works well for most people.  However, this is really up to the individual, and many people enjoy it as they would other soft drinks or juices.

What is the shelf life?

There is a 12 month Best By on our Kombucha.

Where should I store the Kombucha?

Store in cool dry place.

Is it safe to drink during pregnancy?

If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, we recommend you consult your medical practitioner.

Do you use Australian grown ingredients?

Unfortunately we have to source our primary ingredients (Organic Raw sugar & Organic Green tea) from overseas. This is because they are not grown in commercial quantities in Australia but all of our ingredients have been certified by Australian Certified Organic.

Our flavours however, are 100% Australian grown.

What type of flavouring is used?

We use essences extracted from real fruit for flavouring. All natural & certified by Australian Certified Organic.

What is the sugar content of your Kombucha?

The sugar level of Kombucha will be determined by the brewing time. The longer the brew the less the sugar. As we are now brewing sugar free kombucha we are brewing up to 60 days to have the sugar completely consumed by the bacillus. This also increases the amount of bacillus & reduces the yeast ,which in turn stabilizes the kombucha.

How do the sugar levels compare with fruit juice?

Our Kombucha has ZERO sugar whilst fruit juice has about 10% sugar.

Is your Kombucha sparkling?

Our main line Kombucha is Sparkling in the 350ml and 500ml ranges.
The Aminos, BCAAs, and Collagen varieties are non-sparkling so you can better redistribute the aminos and collagen (give them a good shake!) before opening.

Does your Kombucha contain caffeine?

All kombucha contains a trace of caffeine. The levels are much lower than a cup of green tea as the Bacillus consumes most or all of it.

Can I swap out my not so favourite flavours from the mixed boxes?

Unfortunately we cannot swap out flavours or customise our mixed boxes.  These have been developed to offer our customers the complete range of flavours to try.  Many people start with a mixed box, find out their favourite flavours and then order the single box flavours.  With our Mix n Match deal our customers can also try the different ranges and still obtain great savings!

Can I try some of the flavours for free?

Unfortunately we are unable to send single bottles for free. However, if you would like to try our mixed boxes – these have been developed to give our customers a taste of all our flavours. Many people start with a mixed box and then choose the single flavour boxes once they know their favourites.  Other customers love our mixed boxes as there is a flavour for everyone in the household.

What are the 'floaty' bits in my bottle?

The ‘floaty‘ bits in your drink bottle are parts of the mother or scoby [symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast] and indeed means your drink is full of the good stuff!  Your drink is ‘alive‘ and ‘well‘ when you see any of these and is definitely not an indication your drink has ‘gone off’ or is ‘bad’.

Do your drinks contain any alcohol?

Our products contain ZERO alcohol.
